University of Sioux Falls Softball Head Coach Kelsey Thompson announced the USF Softball Preseason Clinics will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 21 and 22. More information and registration form can be found HERE.
Intermediate hitting, advanced hitting, advanced pitching, and advanced defense/catching will all be offered with two advanced hitting and two advanced pitching sessions available.
Each clinic will be capped so early registration is encouraged.
All sessions will be held at the USF Sports Complex located at 69th Street and Cliff Ave. in Sioux Falls. Hitting participants must bring their own helmet and bat, pitching participants must provide their own catcher, and defense/catcher participants must bring their own gear.

Defensive Skills Camp
Pitching & Catching Camp
Hitting & Offense Camp
Pitching Session: Drills, conditioning, and the mental preparation that will help develop pitchers in all aspects of the game. Pitcher will work on pitch location, leg drive, upper body, grips, movement, spins, and much more. Note: Pitchers, please bring your own catchers if possible. They will not be charged unless they participate in the catching session.
Catching: Players will get instruction on stance, signs, receiving, framing, blocking, proper throwing mechanics, fielding bunts, tags, and the mental aspects of dealing with pitchers. Catchers must bring a mask, shin guards and chest protector. Hitting Session: Instruction will include swing mechanics, slapping mechanics, hitting philosophies, various drills, grip, stance, load, stride, contact points, proper pitch selection, situational hitting, short game, offensive techniques, and much more.
Baserunning Session: Instruction includes correct running techniques,, tips on how to become aggressive, smarter, and wiser on the base paths. Learn ways to become a threat on the bases and score more runs.
Fielding/Defensive Skills Session: Instruction will focus on basic through advanced softball fundamentals at all levels: throwing, fielding, footwork, transfer, positioning, charging, short game, infield and outfield play.

Bison clinics allow players to come and learn new skills and sharpen old ones as we head into the New Year; it is also the time of year where players can spend time improving their skills and fundamentals to make themselves better players.
Come see what skills are taught and worked on during our NDSU Softball Season, to ensure player improvement and team success. This clinic is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
The University of North Dakota softball team has opened registration for its winter and February high school camps, which will be held in the Hyslop Sports Center. Both camps are open to girls in grades 6-12.
The winter camp will be held on Jan. 24, 2015 and will feature a session for pitching from 9-11 a.m., and a session for hitting from 1-3 p.m. Registration for the winter camp costs $40 for one session or $75 for both sessions.
The February camp will be held on Feb. 15, 2015 and will have one session focusing on all skills from 9 a.m.-noon. The cost of the February camp is $40.
Each participant in the camps will receive a free camp T-shirt. A 20-percent discount is available for teams of 10 or more that sign up, and UND staff family members will receive a 25-percent discount.

Given the overwhelmingly positive feedback on our first-ever, Women Coaches Symposium (WCS) last year, we are making it an annual event. This year, the 2nd annual WCS will be held in on April 17, 2015 at TCF Bank Stadium's Indoor Club Room. The event is co-sponsored by U of M Gopher Athletics and the Alliance of Women Coaches.
