FUNDAMENTAL SOFTBALL CAMP
June 9-11, 2008 (Monday-Wednesday)

Fundamental Camp will offer athletes in grades 5-8 the opportunity to develop and enhance their softball abilities.

Instruction in hitting, bunting, base running, sliding, pitching, catching, fielding, outfield, agility, and more will be covered.

Skills and techniques will be taught in a detailed manner to accommodate all skill levels. Campers will be grouped according to ability and age to enhance instruction and understanding. Each camper will enjoy learning new drills and techniques to improve their game.

Elite Bulldogs (Overnight Camp)
Grades 6-12

Sunday, June 8 – Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. (Dinner not provided on Sun. night)

Wednesday, June 11 – Camp ends at 12:00 p.m

Camp Options:

• Overnight Camper $275 includes instruction, lodging, meals, t-shirt
• Day Camper $190 includes instruction, lunch and t-shirt (Day camp runs from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. daily)

Beginner Bulldogs (Day Camp)
Ages 5-11

Thursday, June 12 – Camp runs from 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. (registration at 12:00 p.m.)

Friday, June 13 – Camp runs from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Camp includes instruction from Bulldog coaches and players and a t-shirt

ELITE SOFTBALL CAMP
August 4-7, 2008 (Monday-Thursday)

Softball players in grades 9-12 attending Elite Camp will improve their skills by preparing, practicing, and competing while at a top-notch private college setting.

Campers will be put through workouts and competitive situations similar to what would be expected at collegiate practices and games.

Speed building, position play, bunting & hitting techniques, pitching & catching, improving fielding techniques, base running, outfield play, strengthening drills, and more will be taught.

A session will be included on college admissions, recruiting, and what can be expected at Division I, II, & III programs.

Competitive games will end each day followed by an opportunity to relax at the swimming pool and hot tub in Lund Center.

This experience will allow talented athletes to prepare at a high level of competition. The camp will be intensive and a must for softball players who aspire to play at the collegiate level.

Minnesota Softball Academy

Minnesota Softball Academy's (MSA) mini-camps provide an environment where players receive attention from multiple coaches. By utilizing our 10,000 sq. ft. fully-turfed facility, our 4:1 student to coach ratio allows for more personalized attention and is geared toward improving players for the upcoming season or tryouts.

MSA's instructors, who include current and former collegiate players, work with each individual's skill set by teaching the fundamentals, using drills, and assigning homework which provides proven results in all of our players.

Over the course of four weeks, one day a week, MSA will provide students with the tools to become better fastpitch players. In addition, while we believe the physical skills are important in softball, the mental side deserves the same attention. That's why we've incorporated time within our camps devoted to approach and how to be mentally prepared.

Training Program

Individual and Group Pitching, Fielding, and Hitting Lessons

The MN Irish training program is looking for up and coming players to work with and help develop.

The MN Irish training program has college players and Irish coaches to help train the athletes.

Pitching Lessons and training will be headed by Melinda Johnson who pitched for the University of North Dakota and is currently the Head Coach of the MN Irish Gold team.
